Welcome to my 2018 Learning Journey.

This year I am in Room 11 and my teacher is Miss Moston.

I am learning to recognise, name and form numbers 10 to 20.

"It was easy going up to twenty.  Seventeen was the hard number for me.  Mrs Wyatt helped me."

I am learning to identify punctuation.

"I know where the full stop is, and the one that makes your voice go loud.  I point to the words.  Reading is hard.  I can read lots of words now.  Mrs Wyatt helps me read."

"It was fun.  I could run fast over those things. It was easy. I want to do that again."

I am learning to write words with vowels as the middle sound.

"I am writing a Silly Sentence.  I was learning the middle sound is 'e'.  Mrs Wyatt helped me with the words."

Whole Class Reflection – Art

Learning: “I learnt how to draw patterns.”   “I learnt to not put too much dye on the cotton bud.”.  “I learnt about tapa from Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands.”

Tricky: “Drawing some patterns was tricky.”  “The dying – had to be very careful.” “Keeping the vivid on the pencil lines.”

Proud: “The dye looked beautiful and I was proud of that.”   “I was proud of my patterns.”

Help: “I needed help to dye some parts of the panels, drawing over the pencil lines with vivid, putting the right cotton bud in the right container, knowing about different patterns.”

Next: “I want to learn more patterns.”   “I want to know more about the Cook Islands, Tonga and tapa.”  “I want to use vivids more in the classroom.”  “I want to learn more about drawing.”
