I am learning to attempt to write my idea in a sentence that makes sense and re-read my story to the teacher

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like writing our ideas in a sentence and writing some sounds in words.

"I can write some words by myself" Ryder said.

Chinese Dragon

We have been learning about different celebrations this term.  This is my Chinese dragon.  I was learning to make the body shape look like a dragon and cut out the different dragon shapes.

"I was good at colouring inside the black lines and making my dragon's body shape."

Tens Frame Patterns

We have been learning to draw number patterns to ten on our tens frames.

"It was tricky for me to draw the tens frame and draw the dots down to fill up five first."

I am learning to make the first sound in new words

In Reading we have been learning lots of things to help 

us to work out new words, and learning new letter sounds.

"I like looking at the pictures in a story" Ryder said.

I am learning to have a try to spell words

In Writing we have been learning lots of things like letters, drawing a picture that matches our story and also remembering to do finger spaces between words. 

"I can do a picture about my story" Ryder said.

I am learning the attributes of numbers to 10

In Maths we have been looking for numbers in every day situations.  We have been making sets and coming up with different ways to write numbers.

"Here are 4 train carriages.  I can count to 4.  I used to be 4 but now I am 5."

I am learning to build my water confidence

I am learning to build my water confidence.

When we go to the swimming pool we do lots of things including safe entry into the pool, getting ourselves wet, blowing bubbles, floating with and without help, gliding and playing fun water games.

Ryder said:  I can float on my back with a noodle.
